Salman and Nurhakeem : The Beginning (Part 2)
So how what happened next?
We decided right then and there we will find the means to sign up for it, meaning we will go at every lengths to get the money. We will go at every lengths to get SGD$2.5k
Hakeem already started sending some people smses to source for money. He incidentally has an uncle owing him a good $1000. That night itself we decided, if we couldn’t raise the money in time, and we manage to get an amount, we would resort to sending one of us for the course and then teach the other. That night itself and the weeks that followed was really amazing. I fell sick that night for some reason! But well the days that came by after that night, I called and messaged a few friends, asking for some amount that they would have to lend me. I don’t like the sound of that really, borrowing. I mean who does, do you really like to be in debt? Well the motivation and desire was just too great to miss the opportunity. I called up an elder cousin whom I think would be open to providing some loan for me for a good cause or so I thought. The conversation between me and him did not go that well. We even almost got into an argument as to whether my parents should be informed. I was totally against that idea definitely. We ended that conversation but I still thank him no matter. In one of the coming days I talked to my brother and did talk to him about what I wanted to with my life and all. I had him to apply for a loan. And that loan, that damn loan, gawsh we had to wait for days to know if the application was successful. One week before the closing date of the registration of this course I want to attend to, I found out Hakeem had got the money and already signed up for it. It was just me left, and that week itself I found out that the application for the loan was unsuccessful. It was a real downer for me I tell you. A real downer. By this time my mum already found out I wanted to sign up for this course. And my mother and me did get into an argument, with me being such a hard-head against accepting money from them(my parents). I left home and did not return home the next 2 nights, crashing and bumming at a cousin’s place. I just wanted to enjoy some peaceful time on my own. The second night my mum gave me a call and again we got into an argument for accepting the money from them. 1 day before the deadline of the registration, I thought to myself, probably by guidance from God or from my mum’s daily prayers, I just thought, if really I do want to make a change for myself in life and the people around me, and now that there’s the means for me to go for it, then what’s stopping me from accepting it?

My PPC camppaigns and XSite Pro 2
I have just created one super duper professional cool looking website using xsitepro 2. I will provide the link once its uploaded.
On another note i just realised something. That I'm making a loss again with ppc. My total charges by adwords is USD$477 whereas ive only earned USD$375 from amazon. That's a loss of USD$122! well that's okay. I'm still figuring out. Im not stopping that's for sure.

Xsite Pro 2, Aidah Omar, Frederick Mah and more
KA$H just met up again for its weekly meetings just now. here's a quick recap for myself on what we covered:
- our monthly pool of money shall be spent on domains, hosting and the programmer for our food-based website
- we will be setting up a shared bank account. this is for the convenience of our online marketing like ebay and paypal etc
- i have to contribute $50 to our group for our monthly pool
- Koh taught me on how to start using Xsite Pro 2 for the purpose of our gemstones
- Hakeem taught me about how i got mixed up on my hosting and domains
- by next meeting i have to prepare at least 2 pages for the gemstones using XsitePro 2
- Koh and Alan will be meeting up with one more client/business partner this coming Saturday
on another note, yesterday i met trey77 online while looking through the forums in the World Internet Academy website. I got to know him better and found out he's a Malaysian and has been doing internet marketing for more than 1 year. It's always great to know that there are already normal everyday people already doing internet marketing and are still fine. I chit chatted with him through the forum and hope to hear from him again soon.
on another different note, on the Tuesday that just passed, I had lunch with Aidah Omar. She was the one i liased with when I signed up for the Internet Marketing Bootcamp in June 2008. Aidah was really helpful and I appreciated her a lot. She's one of the few people that made it possible for me to get started in this journey of internet marketing. Quitting Success Resources, Aidah Omar currently has 3 of her business already running. Isn't that great???? I definitely think so! you can google her name to find out more.
okay one last note, Frederick Mah, has encouraged the graduates of IMB June 2008 to post more positive comments and sharing onto the googlegroup that he created for us. Just like myself, Frederick Mah is one of the grads too. I intend to post one soon and providing this link.

Salman and Nurhakeem : The Beginning (Part 1)
I realised one of the most common questions people like to ask the Internet Marketing Gurus or successful people is
"How did you start?"
And that's what I wish to share in this post. I'm sharing with you how I got started with Internet Marketing. Lucky you to be reading this. Because it's going to be an inspiring story. ;)
NurHakeem went through NS(National Service) with me. On a ferry back, we talked to each other one fine day, a few weeks nearing our ORD(operationally ready date). Me and Hakeem never really talked to each other during NS since we were never in the same platoon. Our conversation naturally circled around what we had planned for future and it moved on to about pay and how much we really want to be earning.
So I just said to Nurhakeem if there was a seminar that he's attending, just keep me updated.
And he really did that, the seminar or a preview that we signed up for was Fabian Lim's IMB(Internet Marketing Bootcamp).
So get this right, the preview was only 2 hours.
So we just sat in during the preview the whole preview. \
But towards the end of the preview, after Fabian Lim presented, I must tell you that suddenly an excitement and a crazy desire to do something about my life started to refresh itself in me.
And I remember telling Hakeem while in the lift saying
"this can be the turning point in my life"
we sat down and had dinner, cracked our brains and thought about how we really wanted to enter the bootcamp.
Cashstrapped.
So how what happened next?

Asia Internet Congress 2008
Hi all.
Today was the 2nd of three days of the annual Asia Internet Congress 2008. What I know of it is that it's the 2nd one so far, courtesy of Fabian Lim and Success Resources' hardwork to make this happen.
It consists of a number of speakers namely:
Jo Han Mok
Patric Chan
Eugene Ang
Benjamin Wee
Jaz Lai
Alvin Phang
Virpi Tervonen
Ian Del Carmen
Well it was definitely inspiring to see these speakers give their contribution for this congress. Of course with their contribution they did encourage us to go for further training/education services that they each provide.
On a slightly different note, it was definitely GREAT to just be there. I get to meet more people and getting to know more and more people from different walks of life with the intention to change their lives. Of course there's the usual mix of the apprehensive, the 'window shoppers', the newbies and the serious ones. And I love and appreciate the serious ones. These are the people that go for what they want and do something about it.
Well that's all the update for now. Stay tuned!

KA$H is Moving Forward
so here's an update!
as of now. What KA$H (see the $ sign is actually the first initial of my name ;p) has going on is that we got a programmer for our food-based website. If you don't know yet, that website is the very first step in bringing in the traffic to our website. can't go into details to protect KA$H's intellectual property. ;p well the website is still under construction currently but of course i'll put the link up once it's ready. anyways, that programmer (his name is Saravanan by the way) is going to make our website work! all the functions and what-nots!
Hakeem is involved in overseeing the progression of this website since his the most technical-savvy amongst us 4. Alan will be helping in the data entry.
besides that, Koh is building the website for the gemstones. and I will be providing the information that needs to be put up in the website. i'm the one that will be liasing with Rastafari regarding information on these gemstones since i'll be managing a branch of Rastafari. (yeap i quit mediacorp to this instead! of course it's a GREAT IDEA!) so on top of that, i will be researching for the best keywords to be used in the website.
will provide pictures and links regarding these websites!
on another note, i received and email from Maaz, and in that thread Maya replied. Maya i heard had built a website for her company and been bringing money for the company. of course she should get a share of it. here's the website that she created on her own. it's inspiring I must say. well anyhows, that's great news to me! proves that it's achievable in earning online! HELL YEAH!

KA$H n Rastafari
Last Thursday, 3 members of KA$H (namely Koh, Hakeem and myself) met up with the owner of Rastafari, Nizam.
We continued from the previous talk that we had between myself, Koh, Alan and Nizam. The previous talk which was the first time that KA$H met Rastafari was at Irie Gems, Marina Square. This time at Suntec City. We discussed further into details like domain names, the management of the items online, the payment method between us and how much is the split for the profits or earnings.
An understanding was reached and I must say i had a great feeling of success, relief and pride for myself since I brought KA$H and Rastafari together.
I just can't wait to start seeing the things running and selling online!

From imt@mac to KA$H
It's been more than a month since i've last updated here. Where and how has my journey been you might ask. In fact you're not the only who's wondering. There's quite a number of others out there who has been wondering too.
So here's the real update.
If you have read my last two posts, I did mention about a group of 4 and "company". Let me now bring you back to how it started.
After the Internet Marketing Bootcamp course, a group of around 10 people agreed to meet on a weekly basis to help out one another and to be kept updated or motivated. These meetings were mostly held at MacDonald's.
It was from this group that a member suggested that we come up with something together and then work on it instead of just aimless group meetings. That particular member, his name is C A Koh. After that idea was suggested, in the following week, it became more serious as Koh was really looking for people who are positive-minded and capable of contributing to it. The first person he roped in was Hakeem as Hakeem was the most technical-savvy in the group when it comes to website creation.
I remembered the day I first talked to Koh about this idea. His idea was to have a small group dedicated to a long term commitment related to internet marketing. It was on one of those weekly meetings that this conversation between myself and Koh happened. I asked him to tell me more about it and offered how I can contribute to this. I remembered how Alan (another member) happened to be sitting beside Koh at that time. Upon hearing this conversation, he immediately mentioned "I'm in" continously. At that time, we were waiting for Hakeem to arrive as he was caught up with his day's job. Hakeem did arrive but Koh already had to leave where I was the one to update Hakeem on the idea. In the following week we tried getting one or 2 more members into the group but nobody we reached was available.
In the coming weeks we had discussed and came up with sketchy plans and the niche that we want to go into. We even came up with a name for our group and signed on it. The name initially was Imt@mac. "IMT" to mean internet marketing and "mac" as short for MacDonald's as that's where our meeting is held all of the time. But after some time, we changed our name to KASH, 'K' for Koh, 'A' for Alan, 'S' for Salman, and 'H' for Hakeem. Through the weeks, we started with a creation of a website to kickstart our idea. We even outsource for a programmer for this. That website is still in its progress and can take pretty long for all the information to be available. We created namecards, liased with business owners who are open to let us market for them. One particular business owner is Nizam, the owner of Rastafari. I used to work for Nizam in Rastafari during my Polytechnic days and it really was a dream come true to continue working for Rastafari.
So as you would have guessed it sooner or later, most of my future posts will be on KA$H and its progress. I will be posting pictures and tell you more about the individuals of KA$H in my next post. I'll be putting links to the KA$H's website in here once it's ready.
On another note, I have banked in my first cheque of $200++ that I have received from Amazon. Real nice huh? :)

I'm BACK!
Hi all.
It's been slightly more than a month since I last posted. There's reasons of course. Or maybe excuse. Check out this email I sent out to my fellow groupmate just 3 days ago. Some parts of it has been taken to protect the "intellectual rights" of our group. Even the group's name I've replaced it with "(company)".
Well what got me motivated to post again is because Syarifa Azura and Nabil had asked me about this blog among others. Read on:

"Hi guys
First of all, real sorry I couldn't come down for our last meeting. Actually I'm emailing you guys because I have a confession/explanation to make. I confessed that I was distracted and straying away from (company). I had stayed away from internet marketing and all related stuffs. It's just because I was just tired with work and simply wanted no responsibility and to be free and away from any kind of work whenever possible. On top of that, I've been very occupied with my very first bike that I just got. I didn't read up on emails from you guys, didn't do any research, didn't reply to smses from you guys. But it's not that I never thought about (company) when I'm breaking away for the time. But it was after yesterday night when my brother asked me about how I'm doing with my internet marketing that I started to really think about what have I really been doing. After doing some reflection and rethinking I guessed it would be unfair to you guys and even to myself if I carried on with this selfish act. Well I'm glad it didn't take too long before I came to my senses again. I hope you guys haven't thought of giving on me since I haven't been around.
Well now that I've decided to be back on track, I'd like you guys to know that I really want to do this and want us to succeed. We came up with this group and I'm sticking to it until the day we made it big.
So enough of me, how was the last meeting? What did i missed out? Have you guys signed the agreement? ....

slow and steady
last wednesday which was on the 6th June 2008 there was finally a group meeting to come up with a website together with a focused niche on it. it is a long term thing and there will be four us. tonight the four of us are meeting again.
i have managed to sell something through ebay. the thing i bought through ebay has also been delivered to me.
as you know I have signed myself up as a new member to find out if i am receiving comission for it. i have found out that i am correctly link as an affiliate to WIA since I have receieved commission for it. Just to be doubly sure, I posted a thread in WIA forum.

a reflection
i admit that this week there has not been much progress at all and i am feeling guilty concious about it. i can give the list of excuses but that would be pretty pointless and i am only cheating myself. the only things that i had done for the week that is just over are
A few days ago I had been thinking about the time i had said of the amount of time i would dedicate myself to internet marketing. i realised i wasn't being true to myself. during IMB, i had written in the workbook how much time i would spend. I just took a look at it again just now, and here was what written: "i would spend 1/2 an hour per weekday and 2 hours per weekend". that makes a total of only 8 and 1/2 hours per week. that's actually realistic and achievable.
i realised i need to remind myself of the time that i would spend on this because lately i was getting confused as to wether i am spending enough time for my internet marketing. only thing i knew is that there is just the feeling of lack of progress. and the unsure feeling that i have done enough. now that i have reminded myself of this, so long as i have completed the time requirement per day, that would be enough.
I had aimed to complete a website by the end of July. Well a website is existant, but it lacks design and a lot more. So i can say I did achieved my goal and there is still things to improve from there.
On another note, i really wonder how my fellow IMBers are doing.
For the upcoming things that i have to do, it is still the same as of my previous post.
Well that's all the update. Thanks guys! especially for dropping the comments in my shoutbox. Without that, it is a lot more easier for me to be motivated. Love ya'all! HELL YEAH

enter week 6
so just a quick update.
- i've created 3 more new ad campaigns from between yesterday and today. so awaiting its flow of response.
- i've made adjustments for my index page so that i'm properly linked as an affiliate.
- i have subscribed myself for the service provided on the abovementioned index page to find out if i am earning as an affiliate
- i've submitted a ticket to 1profitsystem to ask about how can i confirm or be notified that i am earning as an affiliate.
- i've been approached by elfi(a friend and my insurance agent) regarding an intended website that he wanted to create whereby i can help in its creation and its marketing.
- i have contacted Bul (another friend of mine) who is currently selling products online through wordpress and blogspot. i intend to work with him or we can simply help each other out. check his site out by clicking here
so the upcoming things for me to do are:

keep on moving
2 days ago, there was a graduation cum review session for the IMB. here's a picture of Fabian shaking hands with me during the graduation:
nice? i LOVE it.
so well the session definitely was great. but the number that attended actually halved. probably the number of REALLY enthusiastic people has reduced. but nevermind, doesn't concern me that much. what's important is that those who attended definitely got more insights, more encouraged etc among other things. but to me the greatest take out of it is that it is very important to mix around with the right people (this is related to the law of attraction).
anyways regarding what i have done so far:

mindset and marathon game
I have been wondering what exactly i need to do. i seem to be pretty distracted. and i feel that if i don't pen down my thoughts i'll probably forget things and lose track faster. so this blog really is a good thing and i must take full advantage of it
anyways, call it flattery or whatever but some days ago, i saw a fellow IMBer pretty much following my blogging style. I've heard before that imitation is a form of flattery so i'll take it positively.
I have added one more IMBer into my list, it's James Tang. I can take a look at his landing pages and see what i can learn from him and keep myself on track. he has emailed the IMB group saying that that he's using the Content Publishing method, which is what i'm getting myself in too. And the best part about his, is that he claims a landing page of his has achieved to be on the first page of the search results by using the SEO techniques.
since we're on the topic of this, i'd like to inform also that I have been receiving newsletters from ezinearticle.com but have not put it them to practice. just ran through them only.
and i need to keep reminding myself that this is a mindset and marathon game. i have to say that because i realised i have been giving excuses to myself like i been too caught up with or there's too many distractions blahblah. i need to keep steady and focus on the positive and keep moving. alright.

- i've created a landing page for that new niche. it's already live and running. but i would most definitely would say it's not ready. the appearance is totally lacking. so now i actually have 3 landing pages under my domain and each is a different niche/category.

- the running ad campaigns is currently not the best. it's ranking is not really that good. probably because there's way too much competitors or i'm not cracking my head enough to come up with good keywords.
- tomorrow will be the study group meeting and i can't wait for it.
- i'm contemplating to give my mentor Paul a call to seek closer assistance and guidance.

the 3rd week
hi all.
been quite some time since i last blogged right?
well like i said, i've been more occupied since i'm holding onto a permanent job. but i would say there is still progress in my internet marketing journal, not financially, but in content.

Day 19: things to do

-reorganise my adsense campaign (having only 2 adword variations at a time, with only 1 difference to the ads)
-find out if i am properly linked as an affiliate with the autoresponder currently running. (reply to jeffrey through the email ticket)
-find out about google affiliate program
-write up articles for my "new" blog/niche (focusing in on one)
-sign up for more affiliate programs, (for eg commision junction)
-creating another blog for evidence of abundence in my personal experience of harnessing the law of attraction
i need to remind myself, that without money at present, it does not mean i cannot become richer. there are other methods and ways to achieve my goal. i need to remind myself on this because yesterday night i was a little upset that i could not sign up for another course because of the high fees for it in comparison to how much money i have available at the moment.
and i wish to announce that my current short term goal is:
"To earn $2.5k per month by the end of 2008."
might not sound like a lot to some. but i'm going for a step by step goal achievements considering where i am financially at the moment.

Day 18: Enter Content Publishing
so i have decided.
That since i'm entering into Content Publishing, i have came up with the steps that will take me there. For example, Content Publishing requires an website, but the alternative is to use blogger to fill it up with whatever contents or articles while website is still under construction. This actually is what some of my fellow IMBers are already doing. Which i think is a pretty cool idea.
so i have currently found a niche, i have found http://ezinearticles.com/ which contains related articles of this niche, and i have found related products that offers affiliate program. I have quite a few things up for this niche already, like i said, i'm using. i'll provide the link on this blog once it's ready.
i have signed up as an affiliate with clickbank by the way.
since i have my own debit card, i've changed all my billing settings. so that my brother won't be involved in any of the billing charges.
and my amazon sure did increased again! look:
so my next steps coming up, will be

Day 17: Widget, Budget
So i've got a reply from Jeffrey (the mentor and not my coursemate) regarding the question i posted about some tweaking of the emails in the autoresponder. Apparently, i had to log in to my infusionsoft.com account, log in to my domain's c-panel and log in to 1profitsystem.com to make these changes. So that's good, just awaiting the results to see if each email is really working right or not. so from these, i can start
well more earnings will be coming in from amazon. currently awaiting 4 more items to be shipped before i can officially earn from it through referral.
i currently have 2 new items i've added to my ad campaigns. Both are copiers, 1 a Xerox, and the other a Canon.
except for these 2 copiers, and my B&H Capsules, unfortunately i've decided to pause all the other adwords campaigns . since i'm running out of money to run these campaigns. that's okay. i'm banking in those 2 new items. unfortunately! nevermind. money come and go. it can never be depleted. if it does, it's ONLY TEMPORARY.
By the way apparently (and i actually only realised this some days ago) what some of my fellow IMBers were doing with their blog is creating content for the Content Publishing method. D'Oh! and i must say some of them are really on the correct path towards creating in this method. whethere or not they have generated sales i do not know yet. well alright i just take it that they'll be pretty good examples for me to learn from.

except for these 2 copiers, and my B&H Capsules, unfortunately i've decided to pause all the other adwords campaigns . since i'm running out of money to run these campaigns. that's okay. i'm banking in those 2 new items. unfortunately! nevermind. money come and go. it can never be depleted. if it does, it's ONLY TEMPORARY.
By the way apparently (and i actually only realised this some days ago) what some of my fellow IMBers were doing with their blog is creating content for the Content Publishing method. D'Oh! and i must say some of them are really on the correct path towards creating in this method. whethere or not they have generated sales i do not know yet. well alright i just take it that they'll be pretty good examples for me to learn from.
i have fixed up the amazon widget into my blog.

Day 16: "Thank You" page, Autoresponder and PPC(again!)
So my "Thank You" page has been remedied. Thanks to Victor Ng! I realised my script really got a little messed up that's why it wasn't working properly. Well that aside, i'm now going into autoresponder system. Currently still tweaking the auto-emails that i was provided with so that those are just not for display. would be a real embarassment if somebody really did subscribe through my link and got some email that has holes in it. Since i had some questions regarding those emails, i posted in into the IMB googlegroup and at the same time send a question-ticket to the support group. hope to hear the solution tomorrow since i predict next week will be a pretty tight schedule for me.
next, i finally got into contact with Iskandar! another of my fellow IMBer. How perfect 'cos i really had been wondering how he was doing. apparently he's doing pretty good for his PPC ad campaign i'll say. cause he's definitely doing better than me! i'm making a loss, he's not! lol. gawsh. so through the conversation, i got some tips on how he was doing his ad campaign. it's definitely gotta do with the item you chose. and he did mention what kinda item sells for him. and his pointers were about the keywords. these are the words that i MUST remember:
"then if ur keyword is poor, dun upz ur bid too much..maybe its the keyword u used..so juz change the right keyword..it will work and at least change to OK.."
that aside, i still have yet to sign up for other affiliate programs by the way.

Day 15: People around me
so today i opened my email inbox and got the following:
- Amazon is offering a good referreal deal for downloads of mp3
- WIA is giving a fair warning for infringement of copyright laws. (I'm pretty sure i'm safe because so far i did not "copy any content or reveal any techniques in your reviews" now have i?) If you feel i had, please, for our sake and for the other wonderful readers of this blog, let me know so that this blog can still go on without me getting into trouble.
- Victor had provided me with the script of his landing page for me to check against mine
- Victor had decided that ***********(name of product is unfortunately withheld at the moment to keep it within a protected market) which was introduced to him and I by Jeffrey is a worthy product.
- Jeffrey has agreed to put me as a "pre-enroller" for that particular product
- I have recieved good comments for my blog from people! Eg Zulhairi , Campmate while in National Service, Elfi, my insurance agent and business partner-to-be in time to come (he's also a friend by the way), Nabil, a secondary school friend who was a skeptic of IMB, Nadira, an encouraging friend, Nasruddin, a friend who has started marketing items online before me. and many more!
- i have reached out to Nasruddin via email.
- i intend to do the same with Elfi
- my Amazon earnings increased again! here look:

Day 14(i think) : Domain, Landing Page, New Product.
alright.
i've managed to activate 2 domains. and i've created a landing page for each domain for the time being. the one i will be focusing on is http://www.salman-onlinesolutions.com/. from this domain, i intend to branch out with more landing page, focusing to sell items through these landing pages. currently i have 2 landing pages. what is running, meaning it's working fine if you enter the URL. but, there's something wrong with the other the landing page. what i'm doing with that landing page is to test out a page whereby interested visitors can submit their name and email and in turn an autoresponder system will be activated and they will be redirected to a "Thank you" page. Right now the problem i'm having is that thank you page does not appear once an email is submitted, and hence the autoresponder is not working right.
well so what i did is to send a ticket to the support group again to ask about that this time.
on another note, there has been more exchanges of emails through the IMB googlegroup. and man, some people really dish out "tough love". there was 2 separate views. one says there must be "planning before execution", while another says there is also good in "shoot first, aim later".anyways something that i need to think about that one of the IMBers mentioned is to "cut your losses". i really am receiving lotsa clicks so i really need to start considering pausing some of the ads at some time.
lastly, i went for this short presentation introduced by a fellow IMBer regarding an online product. it's really not bad of a product. i just really am low on cashflow at the moment to go for it. besides i supposed i can take the time to find out further about the product before signing up for it. it's quite a coincidence too that this online product was introduced to me because i had been wondering of an item to sell that has demand. and this product do have a demand i believe.

Day 13: entering "The Proper Landing Page Method"
okay.
so today to me is not the most productive of days. i mean im just facing technical problems basically. but still, there's an increase to my earnings! yeahoo!!! here look:
anyways, i was trying to upload the webpage that i've created using a new domain name. but the domain name couldn't be found or i don't exactly know what's the problem. so what i did i checked the hosting or the DNS whatever you call it. the domain name has the server name correct, but i think it must be because that domain is still not linked yet to the hosting account. i really don't know the solution. heck i don't exactly understand yet how it's supposed to work. so what i did next was i sent a ticket to post a question regarding my problem to the support group. hopefully they do reply. otherwise i'll james or hakeem. X-D
on another, my search engine as another form of adsense in this blog should be working already. so that's great too.

Day 13: Earnings keep coming
LOL! it's not big. but it's definitely coming in! like i've mentioned before, amazon will probably be paying me for the items that have been ordered once after it's shipped. and sure enough that's exactly what happened!
haha so i've decided that whatever i wrote up in the previous post and whatever was my concern or worry, to hell with it! haha 'cos i'm sticking to what i'm doing. only adjustments that i'll be doing is the daily budget. because what i understand is that the daily budget does not affect the ad position, it only affects the number of impressions and hence the number of clicks per day. but because i am concerned with my ad positions and my budget, i think that is just the solution for me.
and on another note, i have decided, i'll be open with how much money i'm making and how much loss i'm making. this way, others can learn from my mistakes too. this blog is not just about 100% positive things that happened in this journey of mine. surely there are ups and downs in business. and because this is my journal, this is where i'll pen down my earnings and losses for myself and others to see.
so up to date:

Day 12: the 1st group study
alright so i just came back from the study group consisting of 10 people, namely:

it was great definitely. had an idea where some of us are at with this internet marketing journey. and got pointers too. like how to upload a webpage or a landing page. cause i kinda have forgotten how to do that. well i just need to remember that 1 page requires 1 folder for it to work. so i actually already have a proper landing page (not the blogspot), so all i need to do next is just uploading it. so that's that for now.
and on another note, my conversation with maya and hakeem kinda got me thinking am i making a mistake by having high priced item for ppc campaigns, and to make it worse, i have quite a few running at the same time? am i making too much of a loss because of the increasing clicks but no sale yet? i wonder if there are others who are doing what i'm doing, because what maya is doing is picking a low cost item and testing out if her campaigns are working. that way, even though if there is no sale, the total cost that she might need to pay for the clicks is still not so high. unlike mine. i know now i did jumped straight into selling a few high-priced items. wonder if that was a mistake.
hmmz i wonder i wonder.

Day 12 : MY FIRST EARNINGS!!
OMG! i didn't realise it but i have actually already made my first earnings through amazon! and the best part, it's been 2 items in total! LOL!!! haha but wait, actually that's not the best part. the best part is that the items are not those that i'm promoting! i got referral earnings because the buyers came from my page!! LOL!! haha.... okay the earnings is not big but i'm totally psyched. here, i'll show how much i've earned:
yeap it's not alot. but i don't care! it's my first! LOL! and hey there's more to come, amazon says ive got a total of 6 items ordered through me but the remaining 4 items have not been shipped so i'm thinking i'll probably be earning from 4 more. wowee!! here look:

Day 11 - "Landing Page"
so i've created a "Landing Page" using blogger to promote another product. at the same time for that landing page or that product i've also created an ad campaign for it using ppc. oh the product by the way is B&H Capsules. Well that Landing Page has all the things that i had planned for except the sitemeter. i shall leave that for later because i'm quite drained out now.
On another note, i've received an email from Google indicating that my adsense application has been approved. but it might take me quite some time if my blog has not been crawled by google.
so yeap can't wait for the adsense to start working.
can't wait for tomorrow's study group by the way, wondering how the others are progressing.
oh and one more thing, i found out about odiogo but wondering if i should be using it. frederick suggested it, you can check it out at his blog.

i have decided since my progress in PPC is kinda slowing down, i'm going into other things. To be precise, creating a landing page for a product that i have found. I will be using either blogspot or wordpress to create this landing page. just like what james is doing. and the reason i'm doing so is because i think it would take me a much longer time to create a new landing page from scratch, since i'm already quite familiar with blogger. wordpress i have not gone there before at all. and because i haven't gone into creating a proper autoresponder system, i will just be leaving my contacts like my mobile number and my email on that landing page. i supposed you can call that an integrated on-line and off-line marketing. we shall see where that will go.
so the upcoming steps for me:
1) creating a new blogger account to be used as a landing page.
2) obtaining information and materials for that landing page. (eg. pictures of the product.)
3) setting up of that landing page which will include product info, a call to action (my contacts), a shout out box, and a sitemeter.
so that's all.

5 new campaigns. 5 fresh starts. 2nd week. over $50 spent.
it's a new week, a new start. i shall keep on going!!!! YEAH!!!!! wahaha....
anyways on a serious note now, i just want to inform that i just added adsense into my blogspot. so i can't wait for their email to complete the process. that'd be one more new source of income. YEAH BABY!! lol... aight. i'm getting slow in my progress. need to take a step back and rethink probably. stay tuned people!

Day 10: Re-organising my Ad Campaigns
yesterday up to this morning was pretty frustrating for me. i was using my laptop to do my internet marketing stuffs since my brother was using the computer. my laptop is freaking slow compared to what we're all so used to. anyways what really got me frustrated was that it ate into the time where google was doing updates for adwords. and blogger(i think). I was creating a new ad campaign but it couldn't be saved. same thing happened to a post i had wrote up. both couldn't be saved and couldn't be registered. so what the hell i had to redo everything somewhere after noon time.
well i've made a few realisations so that's why i've made changes to my ad campaigns. i've decided that having different items under one ad campaign isn't really convenient especially in terms of monitoring it. and i also thought it helps in organising negative keywords. so now i have more ad campaigns instead of more adgroups under 1 campaign. i've taken out HKS Alpine, and the Diamond ring and replaced them with a BenQ Projector and a Weber Grill instead. today will be like the first day again. waiting for impressions and clicks. that's fine with me because i'm totally for trying out what works. i've also started to make use of the adpreview tool.
alright that's all for now.

it's Day 8!!!
man i'm starting to lose track how many days has it been already. taking 13th june to be Day 1, and today being the 20th, so today is Day 8. i'm officially entering into Week 2. and damn i'm still not sure if i've made the first sale. but well there has been progress nevertheless. maybe not big, but it's still progress.
1) i've managed to get email replies from all the people i emailed to.
2) i've got more clicks now. (hell yeah!)
3) i can access the googlegroup for discussions
4) there will be a meet-up this tuesday(that's just marvelous!)

Day 6. My first click!!!
Okay i received my very first click yesterday night actually. man i was so superbly excited upon seeing it it was crazy!!! haha. yes yes i know it's just one only but that my very first!!!! lol. well i learned probably my products i'm selling hasn't got a really great demand. so i've added one more new item. it's an electronics item. i'm contemplating whether to scrap my ads that's not receiving any clicks by the way. but maybe i'll give it a few more days. well so far all my fellow IMBers that i've emailed to has all replied. so it's great. i will be linking their blog to mine. i'm left with one more disc to watch from the PPC demystified package. keep tuned in guys!!

end of day 5
well hello. been quite a great day i suppose. ive watched the first 2 discs of ppc demystified. shot an email to 4 of my fellow bootcampers just to keep in contact, keep us encouraged and to keep going. added one more item to be sold, it's a jointer. been playing with my cpc ads the whole day. adjusting the keywords, the max cpc and more. my adds have achieved impressions but not clicks so far. well i've got the greenlight from my brother to use his debit card for the time being by the way. thats all so far for now.

My first active adwords campaign
so here's what's going on at the minute. i have 3 running ads running using google adwords. all 3 under 1 campaign. Im trying to sell a Dual-Action Elliptical Trainer, a HJC full face carbon fiber helmet and a men's black onyx diamond ring. the best part is this, i'm already seeing impressions for 1 of my ad. it's the men's black onyx diamond ring. however it's zero impressions for the other 2 ads. so i'm wondering why they're not working. i activated these ads yesterday night by the ways. right before i sleep. it's during the time i posted my previous post on this blog. Anyways here's what i intend to do for each ad im running, i'll be putting the link on my blogspot. so my blog will be continously updated of the ads im running until i further notice. and i'm still figuring out how to get my blogspot indexed in google search.
day 4.
man. im done for the day. kinda drained out. gotta sleep. but definitely wanna do more. well today i did 2 more adgroups in adwords. still awaiting for it to be found in the search results when the keywords are entered in google search. and can't wait till my own debit card is activated. then i dun have to worry so much about ppc. 'cos currently i'm using my brother's card, or until i can find somebody else. besides that, i adjusted my blog a little more. my blog still can't be found in google search. need to find out how. well what's the next steps from here on? find more niche, and to watch the ppc video again. oh and ive added all the malay fellow bootcampers on msn. wonder how their doing. tmr i'll shoot them an email.

My Blog Linked to MyDomain
OMG. i totally need to blog about this. i just found how to enter the site i'm coming up with into my blog as a link. haha! gawsh it may seem trivial to some! but it's a step forward for me!!! YEAHOOOO!!!!!!
3rd and last day of boot camp
First of all, today was the last day of the boot camp. That was slightly a sad thing and we were already starting to miss each other suddenly. I don’t know about the others but that’s how I felt. Well the best part about it is that we are all on our own now. Knowledge has already been provided to us. And I can’t wait. I really can’t. right after I finish with this blog. And because I’ve got like almost all the time in the world up to the 1st of july, I’m totally going to make full use of it. Well okay enough of personal stuffs now. Let’s go on to the summary of the things learnt from today.
Well the last satisfying thing was seeing my landing page working. There’s this landing page where we had to make minor adjustments to using NVU, FileZilla and 1profitsystem.com. There’s this entry in the landing page whereby once the ‘reader’ or ‘visitor’ enters his name and email address and clicks on submit, the page will be redirected to a “thank you” page. Initially there was an error that keep appearing instead of the thank you page. well in the end it was figured out by my mentor paul pang. really grateful to him. turns out we just had to delete and re-upload the files into the hosting, instead of just replacing it. sheesh it took us quite some time to figure it out actually. well at least it was really really great to have seen it worked. means i'm okay to go further.
well i shall keep it short from hereforth. getting sleepy somehow. so just a summary of the things covered. so things i learned or did today are as follows...
1) delete cookies in internet browser
2) signed up for worldinternetacademy which provides marvellous tutorials
3) learning to set up a tracking system to webpages
4) activating internet hosting for domains
5) using autoresponder for the thank you page after the landing page
6) watched how 2 fellow bootcampers have their existing website about their business analised and how its marketing can be improved
7) strengthening the relationship with a few other fellow bootcampers a little more in advancing towards support group for each other while starting-up
8) volunteered to be a video testimonial for the boot camp

This was Day 2
Apparently it is not allowed to blog about the boot camp as how we found out today. because of copyright issues, that's why we had paid for it. i actually already kinda expected this. but surely it's still safe to blog as long as not too much information is leaked or the actual knitty-gritty stuffs is posted here. otherwise it'd be free lessons online. well i'm still gonna carry on blogging with this. it's gonna be my journal to keep track of my progress.
well today i learned the following stuffs:
1) PPC
2) Understanding AdWords matching concepts
3) Creating and managing an Adwords account
4) The formula for calculating marketing budget
5) Creating an effective Landing Page that will be fully optimised
6) Understanding SEO
i'm still unsure of how exactly to venture into SEO. i mean i understood the concept explained. but it's still a blur to me as to how to get the linkings of webpages perfectly connected so as to be in the higher rankings of the search engine result.

End of Day 1
okay. ive learned quite a number of new things. learned how to do market research on the niche and competitors. most importantly it's not just learning it theoretically only, but doing it as well. well ive found my niche and did my own research on the search results on google. well i learned how to apply for 1systemprofit.com, an autoresponder which will help in generating emails for my leads automatically. i definitely have got a lot more to learn about autoresponder. ive also learned how to apply for my own domain.
the only minor problems i had faced was (1) finding a niche which has a demand and not too much of a competition going on out there. even now after i've picked my niche and the domain to go with it, i'm still wondering if i had picked the best niche. probably the reason is because my market research skills is still like a baby. (2) making the payment online with a credit card. i actually have no existing credit card. What i have is a debit card and godaddy.com couldn't complete my application either because i have insufficient money in my account, or mine is not even activated or there's just some incorrect information that i provided. Neither of my immediate family has a credit card too except my brother. But his is Diners which is not accepted at godaddy either. so in the end i resorted to a senior cousin and he really was kind enough to allow me to use his credit for the moment. couldn't thank him more for that.
so again, new things i've learned:

First Day of the Internet Marketing Boot Camp
Today is the first day of a 3 day internet marketing boot camp. This blog shall be my journal to keep track of my internet marketing progress.
